BAHAWALPUR: An elderly couple allegedly jumped into a canal in Bahawalpur, leaving the community in shock.
According to details, the elderly couple, residents of Mohajir Colony in Bahawalpur, reportedly took a rickshaw to the Shshmahi canal before jumping into the water.
Upon receiving information, Rescue 1122 teams swiftly rushed to the scene and successfully managed to pull the elderly woman out alive.
However, 75-year-old Yousuf Ali remained missing. Rescue teams initiated a search operation to locate him, but it had to be suspended by evening due to low visibility and fading light. Authorities confirmed that the search operation will resume the following morning.
