Pakistan Strike Destroys BLA Media Center in Helmand, 9 Killed

QUETTA: Pakistani airstrikes targeted a location in Southern Afghanistan’s Helmand province was identified as propaganda center of the Indian proxy the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).

Pakistan on Thursday early morning launched strikes inside Afghan territory across the Kunar and Helmand provinces, claiming to have killed 22 terrorists and wiped out terrorist camps with zero collateral damage.

Of these, Pakistani airstrikes targeted a location in Safar, Garmser district, Helmand, which was being used by the BLA as a media center.

Pakistan A targeted military operation eliminated at least nine militants—including key commanders—from the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) at an alleged media and propaganda center in southern Afghanistan early Thursday, security sources reported.

The operation took place around 4:45 AM on October 1 in the Garmsir district of Afghanistan’s Helmand province. Security officials confirmed that the strike completely destroyed the compound, which served as a central hub for the outfit’s propaganda, recruitment, and media operations against Pakistan.

Among the nine killed were high-profile commanders responsible for the group’s media machinery, identified by sources as Sherwan, Huzaifa, Farooq, and Hazrat Baloch.

Furthermore, security sources disclosed that the targeted compound belonged to Mullah Nadir, a commander in the Afghan Taliban’s Border Force in Nimruz province. Officials alleged that Nadir acts as a key facilitator for BLA network operations across both Helmand and Nimruz provinces.

Pakistan’s Ministry of Information confirmed on Thursday that forces executed precise, planned strikes against two terrorist hideouts inside Afghanistan. Pakistani security officials maintained that the action specifically aimed to dismantle the infrastructure used to radicalize youth, recruit fighters, and broadcast anti-Pakistan propaganda. Officials emphasized that BLA operations in Balochistan rely heavily on these external Command and Support centers operating out of Afghan territory.

Consequently, this development intensifies ongoing diplomatic tensions between Islamabad and Kabul over cross-border terrorism. Pakistan consistently asserts that militant groups utilize Afghan soil to plan and launch attacks inside Pakistani territory. Conversely, the Afghan Taliban administration denies these allegations, maintaining that militant violence remains Pakistan’s internal matter.
