Gold Prices in Pakistan Hit New Record

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan rose to a record high on Friday, tracking gains in the international bullion market, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

The price of gold increased by Rs2,000 per tola, taking it to a record Rs440,636.

The price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs1,715 to Rs377,774, the association said.

Meanwhile, gold prices in the international market climbed by $20 per ounce, with bullion closing at a record $4,181 per ounce.

Silver prices also moved higher in the domestic market. The price of silver increased by Rs50 per tola to Rs6,578.

The latest increase came as rising international gold prices continued to push domestic bullion rates higher.
