KHUZDAR: The Balochistan government has imposed Section 144 in Surab, Khuzdar and Wadh against protests and road blockades on the N-25 National Highway.
The decision comes amid concerns over disruptions to traffic and the difficulties caused by blockades on one of the province’s important transportation routes.
According to Yousafzai, a three-month restriction has been imposed on protests, sit-ins and any activities that obstruct the flow of traffic on the N-25 National Highway.
The government has stated that ensuring uninterrupted movement on national highways remains among its key priorities. Officials say the measures are intended to prevent prolonged disruptions and maintain smooth traffic movement.
Babar Yousafzai said closure of the N-25 creates serious difficulties for patients, passengers, traders and transporters.
The highway is an important route for movement between different areas, and disruptions can affect both ordinary commuters and commercial transportation. The government has therefore emphasized the need to maintain traffic flow while addressing public concerns.
District Administration Ordered to Enforce Section 144
The provincial government has directed the relevant district administrations and police authorities to ensure effective implementation of Section 144 in the affected areas.
Officials have also been instructed to take effective measures to reduce public inconvenience and maintain the uninterrupted movement of traffic along the highway.
Yousafzai said enforcement of the law and maintenance of peace and order would be ensured under all circumstances.
He added that the Balochistan government remains committed to facilitating and protecting the public while ensuring uninterrupted traffic movement on national highways.
