Statistical projections for the year indicate that thousands of citizens continue to perish on highways and city roads due to persistent safety failures, with thousands of crashes recorded in major provinces like Punjab alone within single months.

The primary driving factors behind these soaring death tolls include widespread overspeeding, reckless driving, lack of adherence to traffic laws, fatigued heavy transport drivers, and poorly lit or unmaintained major highways.

Furthermore, inadequate vehicle fitness checks, the absence of strict enforcement, and structural flaws in corridor management compound the risk on high-speed arteries.
