Propaganda Regarding Balochistan Exposed: Viral Video Confirmed to Be from Mexico

QUETTA:  The Fact-Check has unveiled  Afghanistan Media ‘s  false propaganda to cause unrest in Balochistan.

The viral video of violence in Balochistan that has recently been circulating across various social media platforms is completely false and fabricated.

The footage does not depict any incident involving the Frontier Corps (FC) in Pakistan, but rather captures cartel-related violence from Mexico.

Uncovering the False Claim

On October 1, a 31-second video began circulating on X (formerly Twitter), depicting a man tied to a tree and set on fire.

The accompanying posts falsely claimed that personnel from Pakistan’s paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) were responsible for the brutal act in Balochistan.

Within days of publication, the post garnered hundreds of thousands of views, heavily misleading the public and spreading unverified panic.

The Real Truth Behind the Footage

A thorough digital investigation reveals that the viral video of violence in Balochistan is actually misattributed foreign footage originating from Mexico in 2025.

Cartel Insider, an independent reporting platform monitoring Mexican drug cartels, originally published this exact video on November 14, 2025.

The footage documents an execution carried out by armed members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

A gunman visible in the clip wears tactical gear clearly marked with “CJNG,” confirming its cartel origin.

Furthermore, José Díaz Briseño, a correspondent for the Mexican newspaper Reforma, also shared the footage, verifying that it stems from ongoing cartel conflicts in Mexico rather than any security operations in South Asia.
