ISLAMABAD: Pakistani actress and model Hania Aamir has appeared to respond to criticism from veteran actress and former supermodel Jia Ali with a sarcastic Instagram post.
Ali recently appeared on a television programme where she was asked to choose between Aamir and actress Dur-e-Fishan Saleem.
She chose Aamir and praised her acting skills. She also called Aamir “the face of Pakistan.”
However, Ali said Aamir should be more careful about her public conduct.
“She is an excellent actress and the face of Pakistan, so she should take care of her conduct,” Ali said, according to comments circulating on social media.
Ali also described Aamir as becoming “out of control.”
Aamir did not directly mention Ali in her response. Instead, she shared a series of photographs on Instagram with the caption, “Out of control ho gayi.”
The phrase roughly translates as “I’ve become out of control.”
The post appeared hours after Ali’s remarks began circulating online. As a result, social media users linked Aamir’s caption to the veteran actress’s comments.
Aamir is known for her active presence on social media. She often uses humour and sarcasm in her posts.
Meanwhile, the apparent exchange has sparked discussion among Pakistani entertainment fans. Aamir’s decision to repeat the phrase used to criticise her has added a light-hearted twist to the controversy.
