How Much Salaries Artists Get from Pakistani Dramas

LAHORE: Veteran Pakistani television actress Farah Nadir has shed light on the financial realities of the entertainment sector, revealing that popular Pakistani television actors command massive remuneration packages for their performances.

Appearing as a guest on a private TV channel program hosted by Wasi Shah, the senior artist discussed the economic dynamics of the showbiz industry and how much financial compensation leading stars take home.

During the discussion, Farah Nadir remarked that actors earn substantial sums, noting that what an average working person makes in an entire month can easily be earned by a television actor in just ten days.

According to the veteran actress, lead actors and actresses routinely charge between 1.5 to 2 million rupees per drama project, while top-tier stars often command figures reaching 3 million to 4 million rupees.

She emphasized that if producers ensure timely payments, the entertainment sector offers exceptionally high earning potential.

While Farah Nadir did not explicitly single out individual names, the program’s host highlighted prominent industry icons such as Humayun Saeed, Fahad Mustafa, Feroze Khan, Ahsan Khan, Iqra Aziz, Sajal Aly, and Hania Amir, who are widely recognized among the highest-paid talents in the country.

Financial Landscape of the Most Expensive Television Artists in Pakistan

Over recent years, the exponential growth of the television and digital media landscape has radically transformed the salary structures for top talent, cementing the status of popular Pakistani television actors as major economic drivers of the entertainment sector.

Industry veterans and producers-turned-actors like Humayun Saeed and Fahad Mustafa set the highest benchmarks, balancing television serials with high-budget cinematic ventures.

Meanwhile, contemporary superstars such as Wahaj Ali, Bilal Abbas Khan, Sajal Aly, and Hania Amir command exorbitant per-episode fees driven by massive international fanbases and guaranteed high television ratings.

These premium pay scales are justified by production houses because top-tier artists significantly boost global viewership, digital streaming revenues, and lucrative commercial brand endorsements.

However, industry analysts frequently debate the sustainability of these escalating talent costs relative to overall production budgets.
