Terrorism Has No Link to Baloch Values or Traditions: CM Sarfraz Bugti

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has forcefully condemned ongoing acts of violence in the province, declaring unequivocally that such actions constitute pure terrorism rather than any legitimate representation of Baloch culture, traditions, or political struggle.

In a strong policy statement, the Chief Minister emphasized that militant violence directly contradicts the core Baloch values of protecting the sanctity of chadar aur chardivari (the veil and four walls) and upholding local honor. He dismissed the path of violence as a futile conflict that brings nothing to the province but bloodshed and suffering.

CM Bugti reiterated that the provincial government and people have maintained from day one that subversive elements attempting to justify violence under the guise of Baloch identity are pursuing a destructive, foreign-backed agenda.

Highlighting traditional Baloch societal codes, he noted that targeting innocent civilians and destabilizing communities violates every moral and cultural tenet cherished by the people of Balochistan.
