PESHAWAR: The issue of 13 Years of Mismanagement in KP cannot be resolved within a few weeks, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Adviser Samar Haroon Bilour has said, highlighting the administration’s recent measures to improve governance, strengthen police services and address public grievances.

Bilour said authorities had launched a crackdown on illegal encroachments to restore the writ of the state across the province. She added that efforts to improve governance were ongoing, with practical results expected within the next three to six months. She also clarified that no discussions regarding the creation of new provinces had taken place with her.

Legal Proceedings Against Sohail Afridi

Commenting on Sohail Afridi, Bilour said he remained in protective custody and had been nominated in connection with the attack on Radio Pakistan. She alleged that evidence linked him to the mob responsible for setting fire to the state broadcasting facility.

Bilour said the administration’s priority was to address Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s socio-economic challenges and improve public service delivery rather than engage in partisan politics.

Development Plans for Terrorism-Affected Districts

The adviser acknowledged persistent administrative irregularities across provincial departments, particularly in the healthcare sector, where she said structural reforms were needed.
