RAWALPINDI: DG ISPR has warned Afghanistan of consequences of hostility in Pakistan.
According to the details, In a strong-worded and comprehensive interview with the global news agency Reuters on October 30, 2026, Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), made a clear and forceful statement regarding Pakistan’s security challenges, specifically addressing the role of India and the Afghan Taliban regime in sponsoring hostility against Pakistan.
Major General Chaudhry left no room for ambiguity, declaring that India is the “largest sponsor of terrorism” in the country, utilizing proxies based in Afghanistan.
DG ISPR Major General Chaudhry elaborated that the Afghan Taliban regime, TTP, and BLA are essentially functioning as “Indian proxies” on Afghan soil to fulfill their “nefarious designs” of hostility towards Pakistan.
He asserted that non-state actors and “mercenaries” are operating under this hostility regime, which still rules Afghanistan and is not a “normal state” with international credibility.
Major General Chaudhry noted that the presence of international terrorist organizations such as Jaish-ul-Adl, Al-Qaeda, and ISKP (ISIS-K) in Afghanistan, a consequence of foreign interventions and proxy wars, has been highlighted by the United Nations, the United States, and several other nations.
Pakistan’s only demand from the Afghan Taliban, he stressed, is to stop supporting and providing safe havens to these terrorists.
Listing top-tier militants like Noor Wali Mehsud, Bashir Zeb, and Hafiz Gul Bahadur, DG ISPR stated that the Afghan Taliban regime has provided refuge to these individuals, and that entire “terrorist formations” come from Afghanistan into Pakistan, supplied with weapons from there, in a clear act of hostility.
Major General Chaudhry issued a stern warning: “If the Taliban regime does not accept our stance on terrorism, they will have to pay a serious price.
” Calling on the international community to pressure the Afghan regime to abandon this behavior, stop poppy cultivation, and act like a normal state, he reaffirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully capable of preventing all threats, including from drones and other forms of hostility, originating from Afghan territory.
Note on Afghanistan Land Operated for Attacks in Pakistan
The use of Afghanistan land as a sanctuary and launchpad for attacks inside Pakistan is a significant and long-standing security concern, not based on alleged reports but on direct operational outcomes and established ground realities.
Following the withdrawal of foreign forces and the Taliban’s return to power, terrorist groups, particularly the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Baloch separatist organizations, have consolidated their bases in Afghanistan.
