IMMAF Fighting Championship Overview

The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) is the premier global governing body dedicated to the development, regulation, and international recognition of amateur mixed martial arts (MMA).

Founded in 2012, the organization provides a structured, safe, and elite competitive framework for amateur athletes across the globe.

By establishing standardized anti-doping policies, medical safety protocols, and uniform scoring criteria, IMMAF aims to elevate mixed martial arts to the status of an officially recognized Olympic sport.

The flagship event organized by the federation is the IMMAF World Championship, an annual tournament that brings together top-tier amateur fighters representing national federations from over a hundred countries.

The championship operates under a multi-day, single-elimination tournament format across various weight divisions for both male and female athletes.

Participating in these games serves as a critical testing ground and a prestigious launching pad for emerging talent before transitioning into professional MMA promotions.

Through its regional continental championships—including the Asian, European, and Pan-American tournaments—IMMAF systematically nurtures grassroots martial arts development worldwide.
