ISLAMABAD: Pakistani technology startup RLabs has achieved international recognition after winning the prestigious GOAL Startup Award at the Silicon Valley November Summit 2026 in California, mentioning Pakistan’s growing presence in the global artificial intelligence and innovation industry.
The startup, led by Harris Ahmed and incubated at the National Incubation Centre for Aerospace Technologies (NICAT), received the award during the summit organised by global innovation platform Plug and Play.
The event, held from November 3 to 5, brought together international entrepreneurs, investors, technology experts and industry leaders.
RLabs was among 18 international startups selected to present their innovative technologies under Plug and Play’s Global Overseas Acceleration & Learning (GOAL) programme.
The summit featured more than 300 startups representing over 20 industry programmes, with artificial intelligence and deep technology among its major areas of focus.
Ahmed shared the achievement on LinkedIn, expressing pride in presenting the company’s work before thousands of international participants.
RLabs specialises in extended reality (XR) simulators, synthetic data and machine-training technologies designed to improve how complex systems are developed and operated.
According to NICAT, the company has been developing a proprietary large language model to support a modular, cross-platform simulation engine.
The startup claims its technology can reduce development time by approximately 75 percent, potentially improving efficiency across industries.
Ahmed, a graduate of the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), said his experience in XR simulation was now being used to develop advanced machine-training solutions.
Federal Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja congratulated RLabs and described the international recognition as a proud moment for Pakistan.
She said the achievement demonstrated the extraordinary potential of Pakistani entrepreneurs and the increasing strength of the country’s startup ecosystem.
The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting innovation, expanding international opportunities and encouraging technology-driven entrepreneurship.
