QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has urged young men involved in violence to abandon the path of militancy and choose what he described as a path of dignity, peace and a better future.
In an important message, Bugti alleged that while ordinary young men were being sent into the mountains to carry out violent activities, the children and families of some militant leaders were living and receiving education in Europe.
Referring specifically to Allah Nazar, the chief minister claimed that his son is receiving education in France while other members of the leadership are residing in European countries.
Bugti said the situation raised serious questions about who bears the consequences of violence and urged young people not to sacrifice their lives for what he characterized as the interests of others.
Addressing young men directly, the chief minister appealed to them to give up violence and return to peaceful society.

“Abandon the path of violence. Choose the path of dignity. We are ready to embrace you,” Bugti said.
The chief minister’s remarks come amid continued security challenges in Balochistan, where authorities have repeatedly called on young people to reject militant activities and pursue peaceful means of addressing grievances.
