Islamabad: Federal Minister Atta Tarar slams KP government for not taking measures against militancy.
Addressing a press conference, Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has launched a scathing critique against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership, alleging that their sole policy revolves around fostering terrorism and providing facilitation to extremist elements.
the Minister stated that the federal government has repeatedly urged the provincial administration to take decisive actions against terrorism, yet the KP government remains unwilling to cooperate.
Questioning their political conduct, he asked who prevents PTI leaders from attending the funeral prayers of martyrs.
He criticized the provincial setup as the only one failing to convene Apex Committee meetings, asserting that ensuring public safety and protecting the lives and property of citizens is not a priority for them, with all their efforts solely concentrated on securing the release of a single prisoner while fostering terrorism through their deliberate policy choices and evasive actions.
The Growing Crisis of Poor Governance and Militancy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Weak and ineffective governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa directly provides a favorable environment for militants.
The provincial administration’s negligence and lack of focus on security-related decisions have given terrorists the opportunity to strengthen their networks.
Deliberately avoiding Apex Committee meetings and prioritizing political agendas over public safety stand as clear proof of this administrative failure.
The provincial government has completely failed to protect the lives and property of the citizens, as its entire focus revolves around the release of a single prisoner and personal interests.
When institutions are engaged in political tug-of-war instead of ensuring public safety and the rule of law, ordinary citizens pay the price in the form of terrorism.
The policy of failing to take effective and timely action against terrorists has exposed the province to severe threats.
