Note on Indian Hostility on the Pakistan Border

The persistent security situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and border areas remains a major concern for civilian safety in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Military presence, landmines, and unexploded ordnance along the heavily militarized border pose continuous severe risks to local communities living in frontier villages.

Border populations routinely face life-threatening hazards while carrying out daily activities such as farming, livestock grazing, and maintaining local water infrastructure.

Landmines and explosive hazards placed near border sectors severely restrict the movement and livelihoods of innocent residents.

Unexploded anti-personnel devices, shifted by natural weathering or heavy rainfall, continue to claim innocent lives, particularly impacting young adults and daily laborers.
