Major Facilitator Eliminated in Intelligence Based Operation Along Pak-Iran Border

QUETTA:  In a major breakthrough underscoring the relentless resolve of Pakistan’s security apparatus, intelligence agencies successfully neutralized a high-profile criminal-terrorist nexus operating along the Pak-Iran border.

On October 10, 2026, a precise intelligence-based operation (IBO) resulted in the elimination of Bahadur, alias PMT a notorious figure historically tied to the Lyari gang wars who transitioned into a primary linchpin for cross-border terror syndicates.

Striking at the Heart of the Terror-Smuggling Nexus

Intelligence reports identified Bahadur as one of the most critical financial and logistical facilitators fueling anti-state elements. Operating across the border architecture, he served as the central coordinator for a vast criminal-smuggler-terrorist network headquartered out of Karachi, channeling vital resources, funds, and logistics to hostile elements seeking to destabilize the region.

Between August and December 2025, Bahadur reportedly managed sleeper cells sheltered in rented properties across Sarawan city and Chabahar.

Investigators confirmed that fugitive commanders Mureed alias Kurdi and Liaqat (both formerly associated with the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) maintained close operational ties with Bahadur, using his network to orchestrate subversive activities throughout the Makran region.

Bahadur was directly linked to the planning and execution of multiple Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attacks aimed at security forces and infrastructure in Balochistan, marking his elimination as a vital blow to regional security.

Reinforcing State Resolve

Defense analysts have lauded the operation as a testament to the enhanced intelligence sharing mechanisms and proactive counter terrorism posture adopted by Pakistani authorities. By cutting off the financial lifeblood and logistical supply lines bridging urban criminal syndicates with rural insurgency, the successful operation marks another decisive step forward in restoring enduring peace, stability, and the writ of the state across Balochistan.
