BAJAUR: Five suspected terrorists were killed during an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) carried out by Pakistani security forces in Bajaur district under Operation 11 Garaj, according to security officials.
The operation involved coordinated ground maneuvers and aerial surveillance, with security personnel using quadcopters to identify and target the suspected militants’ hideout. Officials said the operation was conducted with precision to minimize the risk to civilians in the area.
Weapons, Suicide Jackets Recovered
Security officials said a significant cache of advanced weapons, suicide jackets, military-grade ammunition and tactical equipment was recovered from the suspected hideout following the operation.
According to officials, the recovered material was intended to facilitate terrorist activities and attacks aimed at disrupting peace and stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Sanitization Operation Underway
A sanitization operation is continuing in the surrounding areas to search for possible facilitators, associates and other members of the network, officials said.
Security forces have described the operation as part of ongoing efforts to counter militant activity and prevent attacks in the region.
