QUETTA: Pakistan’s security forces have killed four terrorists associated with Fitna al Khawarij in an intelligence-based airstrike in Noshki district of Balochistan, security sources said.
The operation was carried out following intelligence provided by local sources about the presence of Khawarij terrorists in the area. Footage of the strike has also been released.
The video shows that security forces executed a precision quadcopter strike during an intelligence-based operation in Noshki. The targeted action resulted in the recovery of a heavy cache of weapons and ammunition.
Following the operation, security personnel recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition from the militants’ hideout, the sources said.
The latest action comes as security forces continue counterterrorism operations across Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, targeting militant hideouts and networks operating in the province.
As part of the campaign, security forces have conducted intelligence-based operations in several districts, including Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Noshki. On August 9, security sources reported that 15 militants had been killed in operations across these areas, with weapons and ammunition also recovered.
Moreover, subsequent operations under the campaign have targeted militant positions in different parts of the province, including Washuk, Panjgur, Chagai and Kalat.
Security forces have said the counterterrorism campaign will continue until militant networks are dismantled and lasting peace is restored in Balochistan.
The latest operation underscores the continuing security effort to prevent militant groups from using remote areas of the province as hideouts and operational bases.
