PESHAWAR: In what appears to be a desperate move to evade accountability within party ranks, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA and Provincial Minister for Housing Dr. Amjad Ali has come under severe scrutiny over allegations of staging a fake attack and abduction drama at his own residence.
According to sources, the PTI leadership had tasked Dr. Amjad with mobilizing a large contingent of workers from his constituency for a planned protest march. However, after failing to gather the required public support and participation, the lawmaker allegedly resorted to orchestrating a staged assault on his house to deflect mounting criticism from top party officials.
Reports indicate that the orchestrated incident featured deliberate vandalism and gunfire at his property. Immediately following the chaotic setup, Dr. Amjad reportedly fled the scene, aiming to build a false narrative that his residence was targeted by political opponents or security forces.
