MIR ALI: Security forces killed three militants during an intelligence-based operation in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district, security sources said on Wednesday.
According to the sources, the operation was conducted as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision.
A cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the militants killed during the operation, the sources said.
The militants had also attempted to stop a truck carrying ration near Mir Ali Bazaar, but security forces foiled the attempt, according to the sources.
Security forces continued clearance and search operations in the area to eliminate remaining threats and ensure the safety of local residents.

The sources said the operations were aimed at maintaining lasting peace and protecting the local population.
