Sri Lanka have announced a 15-member squad for their two-Test tour of Pakistan, with Kusal Mendis appointed captain for the series scheduled from November 9 to 21, 2026.
The series is part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025–2027 cycle. The opening Test is scheduled to begin in Rawalpindi on November 9, while Lahore will host the second match from November 17.
The squad features several experienced players, including Dinesh Chandimal, Kamindu Mendis and Dhananjaya de Silva. The bowling attack includes Prabath Jayasuriya, Lahiru Kumara, Asitha Fernando and Eshan Malinga.
However, Pathum Nissanka’s participation remains subject to fitness. Sri Lanka Cricket said the batter would travel with the team only if he receives medical clearance.
The squad also includes Pasindu Sooriyabandara, Sonal Dinusha, Anjala Bandara, Keshara Nuwantha, Milan Rathnayaka and Dilshan Madushanka.
Both teams will have an opportunity to collect valuable points in the ongoing World Test Championship cycle, adding importance to the two-match series.
