Note on Successful Military Operations in Balochistan

The targeted intelligence-based execution in Qilla Saifullah reflects the broader success and evolving doctrine of Pakistan’s military operations across Balochistan.

Over recent years, security forces have shifted from broad tactical deployments toward precise, intelligence-driven operations designed to dismantle terror infrastructure while minimizing collateral damage to local populations.

Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) conducted under comprehensive national frameworks—such as Operation Radd-ul-Fasad and Operation Radd-ul-Fitna—have proven highly effective in tracking down high-value targets, cutting off cross-border smuggling channels, and neutralizing command structures of hostile groups.

In Balochistan’s rugged terrain, where terrorist outfits often seek refuge in remote borders and difficult mountain belts, military actions have steadily restricted foreign-sponsored networks from establishing permanent bases.

By neutralizing key logistical enablers and financial controllers, the armed forces have neutralized critical terror nodes, disrupted kidnapping-for-ransom rackets, and protected vital economic corridors, including infrastructure projects linked to CPEC.

Beyond kinetic security actions, these successful military endeavors run parallel to socio-economic initiatives aimed at bringing peace and stability to the province.

Through the protection of key transport routes, security forces continue to create a safe environment for development, trade, and youth empowerment.
