ISLAMABAD: Fuel prices declines across Pakistan on fourth straight day.
According to the details, providing a major relief for the public, the federal government has officially announced a noticeable reduction in petroleum product prices across the country.
Following a comprehensive review of the prevailing economic and financial indicators, a notified price cut of PKR 6.59 per litre for petrol and PKR 4.25 per litre for diesel was approved, aiming to offer immediate financial breathing space to ordinary citizens and commercial sectors alike.
Under the latest pricing structure, the reduction in petrol and diesel prices has adjusted the new retail price of petrol to PKR 346 per litre, while high-speed diesel now stands at PKR 378 per litre.
The primary objective behind lowering fuel rates is to cushion the public against inflationary pressures and streamline transport overheads.
According to the Petroleum Division, these newly determined rates take effect immediately nationwide.
Financial experts suggest that this initiative, delivering a major relief for the public, will not only reduce personal commuting costs but is also expected to stabilize fares associated with transporting essential commodities and daily goods.
Reduced fuel tariffs are similarly anticipated to yield positive operational cost adjustments across manufacturing and industrial sectors.
Market analysts note that the revised pricing was formulated keeping international price fluctuations and national macroeconomic factors in perspective.
The federal government reaffirmed its intention to pass on relief to consumers wherever feasible.
