Amitabh Bachchan Falls Ill: Kaun Banega Crorepati’s Shooting Suspended
According to Indian media reports, the production team temporarily halted the recording of new episodes after the 84-year-old legendary actor took ill. The final celebrity episode of the current schedule was recently recorded with Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Ravi Dubey. Sources indicate that production is expected to resume next week, pending Bachchan’s recovery.
In his personal blog on Saturday, Bachchan reflected on his gradual return to daily routines and his connection with well-wishers, writing, “There is a slow return to routine and a disciplined life, which includes work and other engagements. When you are living life normally, you remember your routines, but when that is not the case, routines take on a different mood, which is impossible to describe and is never quite the same.”
Fans have expressed concern over the health of the veteran actor, whose medical history has closely followed his decades-long career. Bachchan famously suffered a near-fatal injury during the filming of the movie Coolie in 1982, when an accidental blow during an action sequence with co-star Puneet Issar caused severe abdominal trauma that required multiple surgeries and put his life in critical danger.
