Balochistan Government Launches ‘Sehat Dehleez’ Telehealth App to Expand Access to Free Medical Care

QUETTA: The Balochistan Government Launches ‘Sehat Dehleez’ Telehealth App, offering free, 24/7 medical consultations to residents across all districts of the province. The initiative aims to improve access to healthcare services by enabling people to consult medical professionals remotely, regardless of their location.

The digital initiative—introduced under the vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and operated in collaboration with the People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) Balochistan—is tailored to bridge healthcare gaps for communities residing in remote and underserved areas.

Strong Initial Response: Balochistan Government Launches ‘Sehat Dehleez’ Telehealth App

According to official figures released by the provincial government, the platform witnessed an overwhelming response on its very first day of operation:

  • 791 total consultation calls received.

  • 495 successful medical consultations completed.

  • 35 districts actively reached across the province.

  • 718 calls successfully mapped with geographic location data.

The service operates on a 24/7 model, enabling citizens to consult qualified medical professionals for common illnesses, general health inquiries, and maternal and child health concerns without incurring travel costs or undertaking lengthy journeys to urban medical centers.

Accessibility and Guidelines

Residents can access the platform digitally by visiting the official web application or downloading the Android application via the Google Play Store by searching for “Sehat Dehleez”.

While the initiative marks a significant step forward in digital healthcare inclusion, health authorities have emphasized that telehealth consultations serve as an initial point of contact and do not replace physical examinations or emergency care. Patients presenting with severe symptoms or medical emergencies are advised to seek immediate in-person treatment at the nearest fully equipped health facility.
