QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has inaugurated newly constructed government offices in the newly established district of North Dera Bugti and reviewed various development projects in the area.
Bugti said the establishment of government offices in the new district was an important step towards bringing public services closer to residents and ensuring that people could access essential facilities without having to travel long distances.
During his visit, the chief minister directed government officials to treat public service as their responsibility and ensure an open-door policy in their offices.
He instructed officials to arrive at their offices on time and make resolving citizens’ problems their top priority. He said people should not face unnecessary delays or difficulties when seeking solutions to their problems at government offices.
“The real measure of an officer’s performance is the quality of services provided to the public and the timely resolution of their problems,” Bugti said, stressing that the government machinery must remain active and accountable to deliver relief to citizens.
The chief minister also emphasised the need to make government departments operational in newly established districts and improve administrative performance.
Reviewing development projects, Bugti said the construction of water reservoirs and dams was crucial for Balochistan. However, he made it clear that construction quality must not be compromised.
He directed the relevant authorities to maintain high standards in dam construction to ensure that the projects were durable and delivered tangible benefits to local communities.
Bugti said substandard construction work on development projects would not be tolerated and called for strict adherence to quality standards and transparency.
He added that the proper use of public funds and the timely completion of development projects remained key government priorities.

The chief minister said efforts would continue to expand basic facilities and accelerate development in North Dera Bugti and other parts of Balochistan. He also directed authorities to strengthen project monitoring and ensure that public interests remained central to every decision.
