LPG Price Increase in Pakistan: Domestic Cylinders Become More Expensive

ISLAMABAD: The LPG price increase in Pakistan has made domestic cooking fuel more expensive, with the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) announcing a significant rise in LPG prices for October. The price of LPG has increased by Rs. 20.68 per kilogram, pushing up the cost of an 11.8-kilogram domestic cylinder by Rs. 244.14.

According to the latest notification issued by OGRA, the new price of an 11.8-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder has been fixed at Rs. 3,296.23 for October.

LPG Price Increase in Pakistan Raises Domestic Cylinder Cost

Under the revised prices, consumers will have to pay Rs. 20.68 more per kilogram of LPG. The increase translates into an additional Rs. 244.14 for an 11.8-kilogram domestic cylinder.

OGRA determines LPG prices on a monthly basis, and the latest rates will remain applicable for the month of October.

SNGPL Announces Temporary Gas Supply Suspension in Multan

Meanwhile, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply in several areas of Multan due to scheduled pipeline maintenance.

According to SNGPL, maintenance work will be carried out on the pipeline at Canal Crossing, Mailsi, Multan. Gas supply will remain suspended from 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 1.

The affected areas include Toba Sultanpur, Mithla Chowk Thatta, Sadiqabad, Mailsi, Dunyapur, Kahror Pakka, and adjoining areas.

SNGPL said gas supplies will be restored after completion of the maintenance work.

The company has previously announced temporary gas supply suspensions in different cities across Punjab as part of routine maintenance activities.
