Beginning around March and April, the country experienced dramatic spikes, with rates peaking past historical thresholds due to global supply chain pressures, geopolitical tensions, and currency fluctuations.
During the spring months, prices frequently crossed the Rs. 400 threshold, placing a heavy financial burden on common citizens and industrial sectors alike.
As the months progressed toward the summer and early autumn, marginal stabilizations and intermittent relief packages brought minor corrections.
However, continuous international market shifts and petroleum levies kept energy costs at elevated levels.
The government’s reliance on fortnightly or daily price reviews has added to the unpredictable nature of household budgeting, forcing logistics providers and commuters to constantly adapt to shifting fuel expenses.
