ISLAMABAD: The opposition leader is ready to visit the Prime Minister’s House for serious dialogue aimed at helping Pakistan overcome its crises, Tehreek Tahaffuz Ayeen Pakistan spokesperson Akhunzada Hussain Yousafzai has said.
In a statement, Yousafzai renewed the opposition alliance’s invitation to the government for meaningful engagement while criticising Information Minister Attaullah Tarar over his remarks concerning talks between the two sides.
The spokesperson maintained that the opposition leader had again expressed willingness to meet the government, presenting dialogue as a way to address the challenges facing the country.
According to Yousafzai, the opposition leader’s readiness to visit the Prime Minister’s House reflected the alliance’s stated willingness to pursue discussions.
He said the opposition leader had once again invited the government to engage in serious dialogue, with the objective of helping Pakistan emerge from its crises.
The statement did not specify a proposed meeting date, identify an agreed agenda or announce that either side had finalised arrangements. It therefore represented a renewed public offer for engagement rather than confirmation of a scheduled meeting.
Yousafzai Challenges Information Minister’s Account
The alliance spokesperson alleged that Attaullah Tarar lacked knowledge of even the basic points concerning government-opposition negotiations.
He argued that the information minister should have consulted Rana Sanaullah and Tariq Fazal Chaudhry before commenting on the matter.
Yousafzai also urged Tarar to speak to Azam Nazeer Tarar to establish the facts surrounding the discussions and understand the opposition’s position.
These remarks reflected the alliance’s account of the dispute. The supplied statement did not include the information minister’s response or reproduce the comments that prompted Yousafzai’s criticism.
Yousafzai said consultations with the three government figures would help clarify which side had withdrawn from earlier understandings concerning talks.
However, his statement did not detail those understandings or explain the specific circumstances in which progress had stalled.
The exchange highlighted continuing disagreement over how previous contacts should be characterised, even as the opposition spokesperson reiterated that the door to dialogue remained open.
The central message of the statement was that the opposition leader remained prepared to go to the Prime Minister’s House in pursuit of serious discussions.

Whether that willingness leads to a meeting remains unconfirmed in the information provided. A mutually accepted schedule and a clearly defined agenda would provide firmer evidence that the latest invitation is moving towards formal engagement.
