MUMBAI: The Tiger Shroff Shooting Incident in Mumbai’s Juhu area left the Bollywood actor unharmed, while his driver and a bystander sustained injuries, according to Indian media reports.

Tiger Shroff Shooting Incident Prompts Police Investigation

According to The Hindu, Mumbai Zone-II Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg confirmed details of the incident.

Maharashtra Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis reportedly directed Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti to investigate the shooting and take action against those responsible.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said the safety of Mumbai’s residents remained a priority, adding that the government would not tolerate attempts to threaten members of the film industry.

Shinde also referred to Mumbai’s history of gang-related violence, stressing that authorities would take action against criminal groups involved in such activities.

Cine Workers Association Raises Concerns Over Bollywood Security

The All Indian Cine Workers Association expressed concern over the shooting incident, describing it as another troubling episode involving members of the Indian film industry.

The association cited previous incidents, including gunfire outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra, the stabbing attack on actor Saif Ali Khan at his home, reported shootings outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence, and repeated attacks on comedian Kapil Sharma’s café.

It argued that the repeated incidents had created an atmosphere of fear among film personalities and raised concerns about alleged extortion attempts targeting Bollywood figures.

The association criticised the authorities’ response to previous attacks, stating that statements alone were insufficient and that stronger security measures were needed to protect members of the entertainment industry.

Association Demands Action Against Those Behind Attack

The organisation urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to ensure the immediate arrest of the alleged shooters and those who ordered the attack. It also called for action to dismantle criminal networks allegedly involved in extortion.

Additionally, the association demanded adequate security for film personalities and their families, along with accountability for repeated security failures.

Meanwhile, Indian media reports said an unverified social media post had claimed responsibility for the incident and issued a threat against people in Mumbai’s film industry associated with Salman Khan.

The reported post has not been independently verified, and authorities had not publicly addressed the claim at the time of the reports.

The investigation is expected to establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting, identify those responsible, and determine whether the incident was connected to threats against other Bollywood personalities.
