NASIRABAD: The banned BLA’s cowardly attack on Jaffar Express foiled by security alertness in Nasirabad after terror elements attempted to target the passenger train near the Notal area of District Nasirabad, police and railway officials confirmed on Wednesday.
According to police sources and DSP Ghulam Sarwar Mengal, militants belonging to the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) fired two rockets and opened fire from a distance of nearly two to four kilometers on the eastern side near Khaliq Abad.
The terrorists reportedly launched the assault in a bid to record a propaganda video for social media.
However, their plan completely failed as both rockets missed their target, leaving all passengers and the train miraculously unharmed.
Following the botched strike, the train resumed its journey toward Jacobabad safely.
Police and security forces immediately cordoned off the area and initiated search operations to track down the fleeing assailants.
Officials highlighted that prompt action and tight security measures ensured that the banned BLA’s cowardly attack on Jaffar Express foiled by security alertness in Nasirabad, preventing any loss of life or destruction.
Foiled Militant Attacks and Efforts to Safeguard Peace in Balochistan
Militant outfits in Balochistan, particularly the banned BLA, have increasingly relied on staged attacks and social media propaganda to project an inflated sense of presence.
Targeting critical public infrastructure such as railway tracks, gas pipelines, and passenger trains like the Jaffar Express remains a recurring tactic designed to spread fear among civilians and disrupt normal life in the province.
However, heightened vigilance by law enforcement agencies, including the Frontier Corps (FC), police, and intelligence units, has led to numerous such sabotage attempts being successfully intercepted before causing harm.
Security forces continue to expand intelligence-based operations across vulnerable corridors to neutralize militant networks, protect transport routes, and maintain law and order.
