ISLAMABAD: Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation against militants, killing multiple members of Fitna al-Khawarij and recovering weapons from their possession, according to security officials.
During the operation, several militant hideouts were also destroyed as security forces intensified efforts to clear the area. Officials said militants attempting to evade the operation by hiding in trees were targeted and killed in a drone strike.
A heavy cache of arms, ammunition, and explosive material was recovered from the site, foiling potential future terror attacks intended to destabilize the region. A comprehensive sanitization and clearance operation is currently underway to eliminate any remaining hideouts or facilitators.
The flawless execution of this operation highlights the operational readiness, surveillance capabilities, and unyielding resolve of Pakistan’s security forces. Reaffirming their commitment under state counter-terrorism frameworks, law enforcement agencies remain steadfast in eradicating the menace of Fitna al-Khawarij and protecting the sovereignty and peace of the nation.
