Balochistan on the Path to Development: Modern Digital Healthcare Reaches Remote Areas

QUETTA: Balochistan on the Path to Development as the provincial government, under the leadership and special directives of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, expands modern digital healthcare services to remote and underserved areas in collaboration with the People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) Balochistan. The initiative aims to improve access to healthcare and bring essential medical services closer to communities across the province.

According to Dr. Zoya Saleem, a Lady Medical Officer (LMO) at the PPHI Telehealth Nerve Centre, the newly introduced telehealth system is playing a pivotal role in providing round-the-clock medical consultations from specialist doctors to patients residing in distant areas. Highlighting the technological integration, she noted that patients in areas lacking conventional internet connectivity can seamlessly connect with medical professionals via satellite links.
