Four Terrorists Killed in Bannu as Security Forces Intensify Counterterrorism Operations

BANNU: The security forces killed four suspected terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district, as authorities continued their efforts to eliminate militant networks and restore lasting peace in the region.

The operation was conducted under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative, the ongoing counterterrorism framework aimed at strengthening national security and addressing militant threats.

The security officials reported that a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the militants killed during the operation.

The individuals were identified by security sources as members of Fitna al-Khawarij, a term used by Pakistani authorities for militants associated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The security personnel launched additional clearance activities to identify and eliminate any remaining militant presence in the surrounding areas.
