ISLAMABAD: Government has revised fuel prices again across Pakistan.
According to details, the federal government has officially announced a fresh adjustment in fuel prices in Pakistan, bringing relief to petrol consumers while increasing the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) across the country.
According to official sources, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) calculated the new rates based on international market trends and issued a formal notification to implement the decision immediately.
Under the latest price structure, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 3.19 per liter.
Conversely, the price of high-speed diesel has been hiked by Rs 2.25 per liter.
Following these adjustments, the new price of petrol stands at Rs 376.06 per liter.
Consumers and commercial transport sectors are now adjusting to these revised rates as the government continuously monitors international crude oil fluctuations to determine fuel prices in Pakistan.
Fuel Prices in Pakistan in 2026
The landscape of fuel prices in Pakistan throughout 2026 has been heavily shaped by global energy market shifts, geopolitical volatility, and domestic economic stabilization measures.
As the country navigates international market pressures, domestic petroleum pricing remains closely linked to benchmark Brent crude rates, foreign exchange fluctuations, and regulatory adjustments imposed by OGRA.
During 2026, the government maintained a bi-monthly price review mechanism to ensure smooth alignment with international supply chain dynamics.
Petroleum products, particularly petrol and high-speed diesel, carry critical weight in Pakistan’s economic structure.
While petrol primarily impacts private transport and middle-class household budgets, diesel prices directly influence agricultural machinery, heavy freight, and public transportation logistics.
Consequently, any upward revision in diesel pricing propagates inflationary pressure across food supplies and essential consumer goods.
To balance revenue targets with public welfare, the administration continues to manage the Petroleum Development Levy (PDL) and import parity pricing standards.
