A Comprehensive Note on Gold Rates in Pakistan in 2026
The performance of gold rates in Pakistan in 2026 reflects a continuous interplay between global macroeconomic shifts, domestic currency fluctuations, and localized demand patterns.
Throughout 2026, gold has maintained its reputation as a preferred hedge against inflation and currency depreciation among local investors and household savers.
During 2026, international gold prices reached historically elevated levels near the $3,900–$4,000 per ounce threshold, driven by global central bank purchases, interest rate policies, and geopolitical uncertainty across major economic hubs.
Consequently, domestic bullion markets experienced significant price escalations, pushing the 24-karat per tola benchmark firmly past the Rs 400,000 mark.
Despite periodic downward corrections—such as sharp single-day drops driven by profit-taking and international market pullbacks—the overall trajectory of gold rates in Pakistan in 2026 remained elevated compared to previous years.
The local jewellers association (APGJSA) aligns daily rates with the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) benchmarks while incorporating local foreign exchange adjustments.
