Family of Eliminated Terrorist Shakeel Disowns Him

GWADAR : The father and brother of a deceased insurgent killed during a security operation in Gwadar have publicly expressed deep regret, joining a growing trend of parents of BLA militants disowning their offsprings who get lured into terrorism.

Muhammad Hayat, a resident of the Paroom area in Panjgur, held a press conference alongside his father, Abdul Aziz.

He revealed that his brother, Shakeel Ahmad, was misled five years ago by the banned outfit ‘Fitna Al-Hindustan’ (BLA) into leaving his home.

According to Hayat, the family had previously managed to convince Shakeel to surrender, but he was brainwashed into rejoining the militant network.

Two days ago, the family learned that Shakeel was killed by security forces while attempting to carry out a terrorist attack in Gwadar.

Emphasizing that their family remains loyal to Pakistan and has no connection to his subversive activities, they joined other parents of BLA militants disowning their offsprings to condemn such acts and express utter shame over the wrongful path taken by their relative.

They strongly urged other parents to closely monitor their children’s activities and prioritize education to keep them away from extremist influences.

Parents of BLA Militants Disowning Their Offsprings

In recent years, a significant socio-cultural shift has emerged in Balochistan, with parents of BLA militants disowning their offsprings after realizing the destructive nature of violent extremism.

Enticed by false promises and hostile foreign propaganda, several young individuals fall victim to recruitment networks that exploit local vulnerabilities.

However, as the harsh reality of terrorism unfolds, families increasingly choose to publicly cut ties with those involved in anti-state activities.

Public denunciations and press conferences by grieving families highlight a growing rejection of militant ideology within the region.

Parents often share painful accounts of how their children were misled, expressing sorrow for the innocent lives harmed by terrorism.

By stepping forward, these families aim to protect their surviving relatives from harassment, affirm their unwavering loyalty to the state of Pakistan, and warn the wider community against the traps set by outlawed organizations.
