MAKKAH: Sheikh Abdullah Al-Juhani, Imam of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, has strongly condemned the reported Houthi attack targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, describing attacks that endanger pilgrims and civilians as a violation of the sanctity of human life.

Addressing worshippers during Friday prayers, Sheikh Al-Juhani denounced violence against innocent travellers, Umrah pilgrims and other civilians. He stressed that attacks on non-combatants cannot be justified and run contrary to the principles of faith and humanity.

Imam Emphasizes Prayer and Spiritual Resilience

During his sermon, Sheikh Al-Juhani urged Muslims to remain steadfast in their faith and observe piety, highlighting the importance of regular prayer as a source of strength and resilience during difficult times.

He also offered prayers for the security and stability of Saudi Arabia, the protection of its leadership, and the safety of the country’s armed forces deployed along its borders.

Meanwhile, at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Hudhaifi reportedly delivered a similar message, emphasizing the need to protect holy sites, visitors and civilian populations from violence.

The sermons underscored the importance of safeguarding human life and ensuring the security of religious pilgrims and civilians.
