Sensational Disclosures Emerge in Islamabad Student Laiba Suicide Case

ISLAMABAD:  Some new sensational disclosures emerge in Laiba suicide case.

According to the sources, sensational disclosures emerge in Islamabad student Laiba suicide case, revealing that the primary suspect, Nauman, along with his family, operates a habitual fraud network.

Investigations have confirmed that an FIR is also registered against the arrested suspect at the Mansehra police station for past illegal activities.

Reports indicate that Nauman, along with his uncle and a female associate, deprived six young individuals from a single family of PKR 8.5 million under the pretext of securing government employment.

The suspect issued fake government appointment letters to the victims, which were verified as fraudulent upon further scrutiny.

The affected family subsequently submitted all relevant documents to the federal police for legal procedure.

Sources further reveal that Nauman extorted money from twelve youths in Mansehra by promising government jobs and arranged fake medical examinations for six male and six female applicants at CMH.

Remarkably, Mansehra police had raided the suspect’s residence in Islamabad alongside federal police a month before Laiba’s tragic death, but found the house empty at the time.

Detailed Note on the Tragic Case of Laiba Ijaz

The tragic death of Laiba Ijaz—a 20-year-old Bachelor of Science gold medalist from the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI)—has sent shockwaves across the nation.

Laiba aspired to pursue higher studies at an Ivy League university in the United States.

To achieve this, her family paid millions of rupees to an unregistered educational consultant named Nauman.

To afford these exorbitant fees, her father sold his sole land plot while her mother mortgaged her personal jewelry.

The case took a devastating turn when the visa documents provided by the agent were discovered to be fake, throwing Laiba into severe emotional distress.

Days before her body was discovered near G-10 Markaz in Islamabad, she expressed deep angst to her peers and family.

Subsequent digital forensics revealed that Nauman used fake identities, fabricated email accounts, and AI-generated deception tools to defraud the family.

Following public outrage, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered an immediate inquiry, resulting in Nauman’s arrest and subsequent physical remand by Islamabad courts.

The incident has highlighted urgent calls for regulating illegal overseas study consultants operating across the country.
