KARACHI: The Judicial Commission report on Mir Raza Murder case has demanded JIT formation.
According to the details, the Sindh government has officially released the findings of the judicial commission formed to investigate the high-profile Mir Raza Ali case, outlining major recommendations for further investigation and institutional accountability.
To ensure a fair and comprehensive probe, the commission has recommended under the Sindh Government Releases Judicial Commission Report on Mir Raza Ali Case Recommending JIT Formation and Police Accountability framework that a high-level Joint Investigation Team (JIT) be constituted under the leadership of DIG Irfan Baloch.
The proposed JIT will include senior representatives from the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Pakistan Rangers Sindh, and the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
The inquiry report highlights significant procedural lapses during the initial 10-day police investigation, strongly emphasizing the need for an independent, high-level probe into the conduct of the involved officers.
It calls for departmental inquiries and punitive action against the concerned police personnel to fix responsibility for mishandling critical investigative procedures.
Furthermore, the commission has suggested establishing an Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)-led committee to inspect whether physical or digital evidence was deliberately altered, tampered with, or concealed during the initial stages of the inquiry.
Emphasizing the imperative for absolute transparency, objectivity, and impartiality, the judicial commission stressed that implementation of the Sindh Government Releases Judicial Commission Report on Mir Raza Ali Case Recommending JIT Formation and Police Accountability recommendations remains essential to addressing unanswered questions surrounding the incident.
The final outcome of the case now rests upon the prompt legal and administrative execution of these proposed measures by the relevant authorities.
