Questions Raised Over Safety Standards

This heart-wrenching tragedy underscores the dangerous consequences that minor negligence or technical faults can cause while driving in challenging, mountainous terrains like Murree. Carrying 17 passengers in a single vehicle, the use of potentially unsafe or uncertified gas cylinders, and compromised vehicle fitness are critical factors that demand immediate regulatory attention.

Experts emphasize that strict adherence to mechanical fitness standards, prescribed passenger limits, and travel safety protocols must be enforced across all tourist and mountainous destinations to prevent such catastrophic accidents in the future.
