QUETTA: Pakistani security forces killed six militants in an intelligence-based aerial strike in Harnai district of Balochistan, destroying a suspected hideout and seizing a cache of weapons, according to security sources.
The strike targeted a formation affiliated with Indian proxy Fitna al Khawarij. The operation was conducted as part of the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, the sources said.
The security forces carried out a precision strike on the suspected hideout, killing all six militants at the location. A substantial quantity of weapons was also recovered during the operation.
The latest action is part of Pakistan’s continuing counterterrorism campaign in Balochistan, where security forces have been conducting intelligence-led operations against militant networks and their hideouts.
What Is Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3?
Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 is part of Pakistan’s ongoing campaign of intelligence-based counterterrorism operations in Balochistan. The campaign has involved security operations in several districts, including Harnai, Mastung, Washuk, Sibi, Khuzdar, Awaran, Bolan and Nushki.
In August 2026, security forces killed 12 foreign funded terrorists in separate operations in Washuk and Mastung, while another operation across several districts resulted in 15 reported militant deaths, according to state media reports.
The military has linked these operations to the broader national counterterrorism framework under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
The campaign aims to dismantle militant networks, disrupt their operational capabilities and prevent attacks on civilians and security personnel.
