LAKKI MARWAT: Four people were killed and another was injured in a firing incident over a property dispute between relatives in Suleman Khel area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat district, police said.
According to police, the incident took place at a mosque after Maghrib prayers. Three people from one side and one from the other side were killed in the firing.
The deceased included a father, his son and a nephew, police said.
Police reached the scene after receiving information about the incident and cordoned off the area while collecting evidence.
The bodies were shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities, while the injured person was also taken to hospital for treatment.
Police said an investigation was underway from different angles and further details would emerge after the inquiry.
Three Young Men Killed in Earlier Lakki Marwat Firing
The latest incident comes amid several killings reported in Lakki Marwat this month.
Three days earlier, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a loader rickshaw near Abdul Khel, killing three young men who were returning after watching a cricket match in the Hassan Khel area.
Three weeks ago, two bodies were found on Domani Wala Road and another two near Kurram Bridge in Lakki Marwat. The four men were suspected to have been shot dead, according to initial reports.
