Khawarij’s War on Civilians: Homes Targeted in Drone Attacks in KP

TTP Drone Attacks Target Homes in North Waziristan, Lakki Marwat

NORTH WAZIRISTAN: The Indian proxy banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has brought its quadcopter attacks again into civilian neighbourhoods, targeting residential homes in two districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and leaving one man dead in Lakki Marwat.

The latest incidents come amid a series of reported quadcopter attacks in which civilians, including children, have been killed or injured. Previous strikes in North and South Waziristan and other parts of KP have hit residential homes and public spaces, raising concerns over the growing threat to the civilian infrastructures posed by weaponised drones.

According to local residents, around six quadcopter drone attacks, carried out by the Fitna al Khawarij, struck Harmuz village in Mir Ali tehsil of North Waziristan last night.

The attacks damaged several houses, leaving residents fearful of further strikes and possible civilian casualties. However, no deaths or injuries have been officially confirmed in North Waziristan so far.

In a separate incident in Lakki Marwat, a quadcopter drone attack attributed to the TTP targeted a residential house, killing a man identified as Yaseen, according to local reports.

The reported incidents have once again drawn attention to the use of weaponised quadcopters in populated areas, where attacks on residential buildings put civilians at risk.

The reported targeting of homes also raises serious concerns about the threat posed by such drone attacks to ordinary residents in the affected districts.
