CHAGAI: Security forces have killed two wanted militants during an intelligence-based operation in Dalbandin, a town in Balochistan’s Chagai district, security sources said.
The operation was conducted as part of the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fitna against militants in Balochistan, according to the sources.
During the operation, security forces effectively targeted militant hideouts, killing two wanted militants, the sources said.
They alleged that the militants had been involved in harassing passengers travelling along the Quetta-Taftan Highway and spreading fear and insecurity in the area.
The sources further said the militants had torched commercial vehicles and passenger buses travelling along the highway, causing damage to the country’s economy.
Security forces remain committed to eliminating militancy in Balochistan and will continue their operations until the threat is eliminated, the sources added.
