ISLAMABAD: Senior journalist Asrar Ahmed Rajput has leveled serious allegations regarding the political affiliation of Farrukh Khokhar with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F), claiming that the move involved financial transactions and guarantees of protection.
Farrukh Khokhar’s Joining JUI-F to Evade Potential Legal Action by CCD
According to the journalist, Farrukh Khokhar joined JUI-F to evade potential legal action by the Crime Control Department (CCD). Rajput claimed that JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman allegedly received Rs 240 million (240 million rupees / 24 crore rupees) in cash from Khokhar in exchange for assuring his security and protection.
Asserting that he was the first to break the story, Rajput maintained that Khokhar’s inclusion in the party was not a routine political decision, but rather a strategic maneuver to seek shelter from law enforcement scrutiny.

In July 2025, Farrukh Khokhar had officially joined JUI-F following a meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman. At the time, party leadership had framed the political development as a step toward expanding political activities in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. However, these recent claims by the journalist have brought forward allegations of behind-the-scenes financial dealings and protective assurances surrounding the political merger.
