Spectacular Ceremony Held in Islamabad to Unveil Landmark 'Yadgar-e-Fatah' Monument

ISLAMABAD: A grand ceremony to unveil Yadgar-e-Fatah, a national monument commemorating Pakistan’s victory in Marka-e-Haq, was hosted in the federal capital on Saturday evening.

The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Capital Development Authority (CDA). Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Ashfaq Ahmed Khalil, graced the ceremony alongside senior government officials, administrative leadership, and citizens from various walks of life. High-achieving youth from diverse fields were invited as special guests of honor.

A major highlight of the night was an illumination display and 3D projection mapping projected across the structure of the monument. The presentation detailed the journey of Marka-e-Haq and highlighted the defensive roles of the public alongside the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Prominent national artists performed live patriotic songs, paying tribute to the nation’s martyrs (Shuhada) and veterans (Ghazis).

 Standing 220 feet high, Yadgar-e-Fatah incorporates modern architectural elements designed as an enduring symbol of national unity and sacrifice.

The monument will officially open to the general public starting Tuesday.
