Speaking on the development, Tarar stated that the Islamabad administration will make the final decision regarding the transfers once the facility becomes fully operational. He emphasized that the relocation applies universally to all inmates held under Islamabad’s jurisdiction.
Addressing provincial politics, the Information Minister remarked that the chapter regarding any accommodation or negotiations with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government is closed. He also criticized PTI leadership, claiming that Sohail Afridi’s political future appears bleak and that his actions have severely harmed the party.

During a media briefing following his visit to the facility, Naqvi noted that he took a special interest in expediting the prison construction project upon assuming office. Responding to queries regarding the potential transfer of the PTI founder, Naqvi stated that any inmate belonging to Islamabad’s jurisdiction will be accommodated in the new jail.
